Character Information
*Character Name: Albert Heinrich/004
*Character Canon:Cyborg 009 (2001 series)
*Age: It isn't mentioned, but it appears he's around adult to mid-adult, despite the fact he was frozen for many decades.
*Race: Human (with a few mechanical replacements)
*Timeline/Pull Point: Post ‘Tears of Steel’ after he faced cyborg 0011, a man in a machine body whom Albert attempted to appeal to its family before destroying it.
*History: Albert Heinrich grew up in Germany. Sometime ago he met and fell in love with Hilda. Eventually they became engaged at some point. As they lived in communist East Germany, Albert was not too happy with the living conditions and the way of life there. He planned his and Hilda's escape. One night they drove under the disguise as a traveling circus with Hilda in the back. They almost made it past the border when a security guard asked for his identity papers. Panicking, Albert hit the brakes and drove straight for West Germany. The border security fired on them, causing him to wreck. They made it to their freedom, but only too late. Albert crawled out of the truck to find his wife dying. He held her before passing out from his own wounds.
It was then Black Ghost, a secret organization dedicated to war profiteering took him in. Like the three individuals before him, they replaced his body with cybernetic parts with the intent of using them as a weapon. What for? No explanation is given except to become a soldier in the new frontier of warfare. The fourth cyborg in the line, he was named 004. Unlike the previous three, he was outfitted with an arsenal--a machine gun hand with a barrel for each finger, rocket launcher kneecaps, and a laser knife in his other hand. However, Black Ghost found 004 to be suicidal from the grief. They decided to cryogenically freeze the test subject for a few decades. He soon awoke and freed himself along with the other nine cyborg, each with their own abilities. They escaped the Black Ghost facility with a Black Ghost scientist who wished to atone for his own mistake of being duped by the Black Ghost leader. As soon as they escaped, they realized their true objective was bringing an end to Black Ghost's arms dealing before the organization plunged Earth into eternal warfare. They were last pursued by the cyborg twins 0010+ and 0010-, whom their defacto leader 009 defeated. Albert last faced the cyborg 0011.
*Personality: Albert's personality goes deeper than his circuits and is tied directly to his past. Once he was a brighter more optimistic person. But that was before losing Hilda. Watching the love of your life die in your arms can do that to you. Black Ghost taking him in and taking away most of his humanity with the intent of using him as a weapon was the extra insult to his traumatic experience.
As a result, when they first brought him back from the surgery, Black Ghost found him too suicidal to be useful at the time and decided to freeze him. Unwilling to be used as a weapon of mass destruction by the organization, tt seemed joining up with the other cyborgs at the time of their escape stabilized him somewhat, but that's it. To the team Albert is a planner, the more firmly grounded member of the team next to Dr. Gilmore. To 002, 003, and 009 he's like an aloof older brother. He'll give help and advice to the team when he can and they appreciate it. The rest of the cyborg team has definitely become like a family to each other, Albert included. They still have some squabbles, like Albert's occasional bouts of pessimism, but they stick together. Albert's still an aloof if not cold personality. He’s quick to view things with a negative lens. He can be a man of sardonic wit, occasionally cracking a sarcastic jibe. He doesn't make allies quickly and prefers doing things on his own. Yet, when he makes a connection with someone, he'll defend them to the death. Losing Hilda has given him a greater dependence on the people he trusts, though he doesn’t show it as much. He’s often the aloof big brother of the team, hanging around them with a sarcastic joke or maybe even a little support when the team needs it. Though he does have a largely depressing view of life, he can see the bright side when the situation calls for it.
With his new cyborg abilities he sees it more as a curse than a blessing. He worries about his mechanical body, worried that he might be losing his humanity. It’s another reason for him staying aloof yet keeping small, close ties: to protect others from his possibly souless side.
*Powers/Abilities: Albert Heinrich is a human arsenal. The Black Ghost organization equipped him with a literal arsenal of weapons in his body. His hand is a literal machine gun with the fingers as barrels. His knees function as rocket launchers. His other hand conceals a special laser knife. On top of that, 004 has the resilience of an above average human, being able to take a barrage of bullets for some time. He also has an enhanced longevity which means he enjoys a longer lifespan than the average human.
As for mental strengths, Albert can be a good tactician, leading some of the other cyborgs when the need calls for it.
*Inventory: His weapons are all a part of himself, save his plasma gun which he carries around. He also bears the ring of his fiance Hilda, which he keeps near and dear to him.
*Starting Polarity: Megatronus, but if the mods see something else, that's fine.

*First Person Sample:
[004 flicked on his communicator. The junkyard looked okay today, nothing had been acting up. But that didn't comfort the cyborg. No, he felt something was coming. He didn't want to be caught off guard...or anyone else for that matter. He decided contacting a few people wouldn't hurt. He didn’t look into the camera as he began speaking.]
Area's clear, no attacks yet. It doesn't feel right.
It’s too calm. There should be some kind of activity. They're waiting to begin the attack again, I know it.
[He hoped they could listen, but there was always some incredulous soul on the network...or worse. He hoped for the best as he signed off.]
*Third Person Sample:
Jump, run, dodge, and jump again, he had all this written down in his head. He felt too close to the personal routine already. Right now he saw himself racing across a barren land, avoiding any Black Ghost troops. He felt he always had to run from checkpoint a to checkpoint b--from East Germany to West, from Black Ghost to freedom, from danger to safety. It was all the same and what did it get him? Only the same tragic results.
A fighting battalion rolled up in a tank behind him. He would have to take care of this too. He ran towards the fighting colossus, kneeling before he launched his rocket kneecap. With a heavy explosion he decommissioned the tank in no time. Those men in there, they weren’t without mercy, as if Skull, Black Ghost’s mysterious leader, deleted all their emotions and stripped them all of their humanity.
004 stared at his hand, the same metallic hand that was meant to kill. Who said his humanity was taken from him? How long would it be before he would kill just as long as it got him closer to stopping Skull? Maybe that’s what Skull wanted. How long before he might turn on his teamates? He reached for his chest, imagining the heart that once beat there. Albert Heinrich was his name. How long had it been since he called himself that? Soon the time would come where he would forget the name all together...
